Elaine R. Clemons, affectionately known as Meme to most, of Pensacola, Fl., passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on October 7, 1943, in Brooklyn, NY, Meme brought the vibrant spirit of her hometown to Pensacola, where she built a life centered on family and love.
Meme was the heart of her family; her nickname embodying the warmth and care she shared with all. From her Brooklyn roots to her Florida home, she created cherished memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit extended to her beloved dog, Tucker, who brought her immense joy. Meme's legacy of love and connection will endure in the hearts of those she touched.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Delaney, mother, Hazel Delaney, brothers, James and Robert Delaney, sisters, Barbara and Joy Delaney, and her cherished dog, Tucker. Meme is survived by her daughter, Kim Parris (husband Edward) of Pensacola, Fl., and son, Dale Harless (wife Candace) of Elliston, Va, her grandchildren, Andrew Parris (wife Briana), Austin Parris (fiancé' Kelsey), Aaron Parris (wife Sarah), and Hunter Harless, and her great grandchildren, Jackson Parris, Jameson Parris, Bella Vasko, Liam Vasko, Sawyer Lawson, Wyatt Lawson, Teagan Parris, and Waylon Parris.
Meme's boundless love and vibrant spirit will forever live on in her family and community, from Brooklyn to Pensacola and beyond.
