Eugene Arnold DeWitt, fondly known as Gene, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at the age of 63 in Pensacola, Florida. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will resonate with family and friends alike.

Eugene is mourned by his two daughters, Teresa Salvaggio and her husband William, and Angela McCloud. He was a proud grandfather to seven beautiful grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. Gene's family also includes his brother Ed DeWitt and sister-in-law Judy, as well as his three sisters, Deb Davis and her husband Jerry, and Susan (Ed) Sisco, Ruby (Randy) Barnes. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Preceding him in death were his beloved parents, Don and Martha DeWitt, as well as his two brothers, Daniel and Vernon DeWitt, who have welcomed him into eternal rest.

Gene's passions were many, but his love for fishing and working on vehicles was particularly deep. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was casting a line into the water or tinkering with machinery. Gene was known not just for his hobbies, but for his warm demeanor as well. He always enjoyed meeting new people and could light up a room with his presence. A good game of dominos was a favorite pastime along with a good pool game, and he treasured the laughter and camaraderie it brought.

Gene will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He is leaving behind not just sorrow, but a wealth of fond memories that will be remembered forever. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones who take comfort in having shared their lives with such a remarkable man.
