James “Chris” Sharp passed away on Easter Sunday at the age of 59. He was born in Camilla, Georgia on 28 January 1966. His family moved to Pensacola in 1973. He attended J. M. Tate High School in Cantonment. Chris worked at DAPS and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts in Pensacola for over 25 years.
Chris was an avid collector and builder of model cars. He spent hours meticulously assembling and painting the models to perfection. Chris was a loving husband and father. A kind man who never met a stranger, he would help anyone in need. Particularly with car problems, he would offer expert repair advice. Often times, he would repair peoples’ cars at no charge.
Chris was preceded in death by his wife Terresa (Patterson) Sharp, parents, James “Stanley” and Lautry Sharp, his brothers David and Brian Sharp. He is survived by his son Braydon, daughter Jennifer Holland of Jay, FL, sister Melissa Hochstein of New Bern, NC, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. In leu of flowers, Chris would wish for donations in his name to diabetes research.
