Jean Patricia Jernigan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Jean Patricia Jernigan, who passed away on November 21, 2024, at the age of 79. 
 
Jean was born on March 17, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio. She moved to Pensacola, Florida, where she lived much of her life. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Jewell Alton Jernigan Sr., and a loving mother to her children: Toby, Louis and his ex-wife Rebecca, Little Alton and daughter-in-law Haley. Jean was also a cherished grandmother to Mitchell, David, Brenda and her husband Darrell, Little Toby, Elizabeth, Nick, Tamra, Aaron, Garret, and Avery. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Everliegh, Daxton, and Brayden. Jean leaves behind her two beloved dogs, Sadie and Bella. 
 
Jean lived a fulfilling life, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her love for her family and pets was boundless. She loved to spend time with her family sharing stories. She cherished her grandchildren singing for her. Jean was known for her kindness, generosity, and infectious smile. These qualities endeared her to all who knew her. Her warm personality and unwavering compassion will be remembered by all who had the privilege of her company. 
 
Rest in peace, dear mother. You will forever be in our hearts and memories.
