Matthew Andrew Sims

Matthew (Matt) Andrew Sims, 55, passed away suddenly June 8, 2024, at his home in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Born in Duluth, Minnesota on April 28, 1969, Matt grew up in Warner Robins, Georgia. In 2004, he moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida with his nephew, Chris Ulrich.

The youngest of 4, Matt was predeceased by his parents, Mark and Mary Sims and his brothers John (JD) and Mark Sims.

Matt was schooled in motorcycle mechanics and was a house painter by trade. He was a man of many skills and put those skills to use when Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans.

After many years being president of the Walton County and Fort Walton Beach Chapters of the Fly-In Wheels MC, Matt retired.

From building cars and motorcycles to being the best Baby Whisperer, he was always there for a friend.

Matt leaves behind his wife Susan Sims, his sister Naomi Halsted, many Brothers and Sister in laws, nephew and nieces, his Brothers from the Fly-In Wheels Nation, his family, friends and his beloved pet BowWow.

We will be remembering...Matt on June 22, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Fly-In Wheels Clubhouse (8494 US Hwy 90 West, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433).
